Understanding the Process

Explore the detailed approach I employ to guide clients through healing, ensuring clarity on beginning therapy and embracing growth.

Initial Consultation

Begin with a compassionate assessment to understand your unique needs, establishing a trusting foundation for your therapeutic journey.

Therapeutic Engagement

My approach is integrative, drawing on trauma-informed, attachment theory, person-centred principles, cognitive behavioural therapy, and psychoeducation. I bring each of these in response to what the person in front of me actually needs, rather than applying a single method to every client.

Integration and Growth

Sessions are paced, collaborative, and culturally aware. The aim is not to fix who you are, but to help you understand yourself well enough to live differently. I ensure my clients are able to notice the transformation as insights gained are integrated into daily life, empowering them to move forward with confidence.

If this resonates with you, I would be glad to hear from you.

Here is my professional background and therapeutic approach

Professional Background

For over five years, I have supported people through trauma, crisis, and the quieter forms of distress that often go unnamed, in some of the most demanding mental health settings in London.

At Mind, across Brent, Westminster and Wandsworth, I led mental health support services and worked directly with clients facing severe psychological distress, housing instability, and acute crisis, achieving an 88 percent positive outcome rate across wellbeing, housing and employment goals.

At Peabody Trust, I worked therapeutically with forensic psychiatric patients living with complex mental health needs, conducting psychosocial assessments and supporting recovery alongside probation and healthcare partners.
With Advance Charity, in partnership with the Mayor of London’s office and Hammersmith and Fulham Council, I delivered trauma-informed therapeutic mentoring for young women affected by domestic abuse and exploitation, and co-produced the Healthy Relationships podcast.

Therapeutic Approach

This depth of experience shapes everything I bring into the therapy room today: clinical rigour, a steady presence in difficult moments, and a deep respect for what people carry quietly.

Client Support Areas

I support adults and teens navigating complex trauma, anxiety, relational difficulties, identity questions, emotional dysregulation, and the persistent sense of overwhelm that can sit beneath an outwardly composed life. I also work with individuals and couples on communication, trust, and rebuilding secure connection.

Many of the people I see think deeply, feel intensely, and are often the ones others rely on.

“Anushka’s empathetic approach and expert guidance have transformed my healing journey, making every session invaluable.”
