Healing Trauma

This is everything I have learnt about trauma ↓

Trauma rarely looks dramatic.
Most of the time it looks like “I am fine.”

It shows up as:

  • Overthinking
  • ⁠Apologising for existing
  • ⁠Shutting down during conflict
  • ⁠Feeling numb when you want to feel something

Your mind knows the past is over.
Your body still does not believe it.

Because trauma is not just an event.
It is the survival response that never switched off.

Healing is not about being strong.
Strength is what protected you.
Healing is learning safety so your body can finally stop bracing for a threat that is no longer here.
